Japan Trip 2010 Day 1
Sunday, May 15

Exams are over, holiday starts now, and I'm finally updating this blog!
I've been wanting to write about my first ever Japan trip last year, so here it is!

I went with my aunt and her colleagues, and we took the midnight flight. It's been ages
since I took a plane, and I tell you the journey was awful! I was down with cough
and the jerky flight didn't make it better for me to sleep. By the time for breakfast, I
felt really sick.

Being a dumb person, I chose to eat the salmon out of all the food from the breakfast set,
which made it worse.

SIA Breakfast

It would have been a hearty breakfast though...
I was lucky I didn't throw up! Thanks to my aunt for soothing my back. Haha ^^;

Anyway, here's the plane that I took!

We arrived at Narita Airport and took the limousine bus (it's just a coach) to Shinjuku!
I didn't sleep at all in the bus because I was afraid of missing out any scenery that
we passed. Lol. And you know what, the guy who sat behind me was snoring like
nobody's business!! Surprisingly he was able to wake up in time for his stop?!

We alighted somewhere in Shinjuku near Odakyu, and we were lost! I didn't
know the hotel was inside Kabuki-cho. Would have been easier to ask for
the direction to Kabuki-cho than asking for the hotel! We were soooo lucky that
a middle-aged man guided us all the way to the front of Kabuki-cho even though
he doesn't speak English! What a kind person!

So the day kick-start with us depositing our luggage at the reception as it was too early
to check-in. Met up with my aunt's company's Japanese agents and off we went to Mt Fuji!

A building with lots of Korean words near the car rental. Can you spot DBSK?

A place that we passed by.
I forgot the place's name but it has a historical significance to it

Tokyo Tower

I was so excited when I saw it!! XD

Ebina SA

The journey to Mt Fuji was a long way, so we made a quick stop at Ebina SA
and ate some delicious melon bread! (No photo of it because I was too hungry!)

I love how the sunlight shone through the clouds

AND FINALLY,
we arrived at Hakone! We didn't go all the way to Mt Fuji itself, but stop at
an eatery where could view the mountain range.

Lake Ashi
Unfortunately it was late (around 4pm) and cloudy, we couldn't see the peak of Mt Fuji :(

After that, we proceeded down hill to a restaurant. There were a lot of traffic
since it was a holiday that day. I was impressed how all the drivers were patient and
drove slowly and safely!

My first meal for that day. I was still suffering from motion-sickness and couldn't finish
it!

I don't know the restaurant's name but it has a souvenir shop at the first floor.

I guess this is the restaurant's name?

There was a nice lake at the front of the restaurant.
The place was scenic and peaceful~

Here's a lovely sunset photo. It's my favourite photo of the trip!

No photos of silly me with dehydrated red lips. Lol.

Next up, Disneyland!
