Japan Trip 2010 Day 2 - Disneyland
Tuesday, May 17

The destination for the 2nd day was Disneyland! I was excited since I've never gone to one before!

We planned to go by bus but we missed the last scheduled bus, and had to take the train instead. Luckily that morning my aunt's colleague met with the Japanese agent, and he was kind enough to travel with us from Shinjuku to Tokyo Station to do the train transfer to Maihama Station.

Shinjuku Station East Exit

Shinjuku is one big maze of a station! We couldn't find the East Exit when we were inside the station. Lol.

I can't remember where this station was. But LOOK AT THE TIME. Disneyland opens at 9am I think, and here we were still on our way!

Happy to be sitting below a Sato Takeru advertisement! Don't mind my hair and face.

We safely arrived in Maihama Station! Everyone relied on me when it comes to which train Station to alight. Man am I glad that most of the station names are in Kanji so it was easier for me to remember. Anyway my aunt is the one with the red bag. Haha.

Disney monorail

Disneyland Entrance
The Halloween event was over, and the Christmas event had not start, so the entrance was not in any festive decorations. But there's a gigantic christmas tree!

Christmas Tree
It's filled with many people despite it being a weekday!

Sorry for the bad lighting! I don't know if this is just the usual Disney castle that you see when a Disney movie starts playing, or id it actually belongs in one of the Disney stories?

I only rode about 3 rides because it was SO CROWDED! Rode a kid's ride first since this had the shortest queue. Before that we already took a Fast Pass for the awesome Thunder Mountain roller coaster ride since the queue was crazily long!

The Disneyland staff sorta freaked me out with their constant smiles. No offense but they behaved like robots.. D:

I would totally ride this but I had no idea where the boarding point was!!

This looked fun too but again no idea where to ride this! It's sad that when you have the map but you don't know what the name of the ride is!

Expensive lunch under the umbrella
While eating, the parade started not far from where I was, so my aunt told me to go catch it!

Pocahantus

Tigger

Donald, Daisy and Goofy

The boy who never grew up

Winnie the Pooh and friends

Tinker Bell

I didn't get a good spot as everyone else filled the good spots way beforehand.

After the parade, we went to shop for souvenirs and I bought a Bambi tumbler and a snack (the case was very pretty but the snack tastes horrible!!!)

Mickey and Minnie gingerbread plushes

Lit Chrstmas tree

Goodbye Disneyland~

I wonder what train this is

Studio Alta
Heading back to the hotel. There were a bunch of people hanging around outside the East Exit of Shinjuku Station. I think I know who these people are.

Shared these 2 dishes with my aunt. They tasted good! :D

I would LOVE to visit Tokyo Disneyland again because I missed sooooooo many rides and I was disappointed that I didn't get to watch the fireworks! It didn't feel right to leave the place without a wonderful memory of fireworks. I WILL COME BACK AGAIN!
